We once played a show in Corolla, NC, at a place called Sun Dogs Raw Bar & Grill. Didn't really care for the name since there was no outdoor seating.
When we arrived at Sun Dogs, we needed information and a drink. Getting either of those was tricky because the entire floor of the establishment is painted to look like the ocean. Somehow, we surfed our way to the bar.
A bartender with a backwards hat and tank top approached us. He was cheery. "What do you boys need?" We were with another dude, by the way.
"Hey, we're the band. We're gonna load in. I'll take a lager. "
"Totally. Anything you need, just let me know, my name's 'Cold Beer'."
"Did you say your name is Colby?"
"No, it's 'Cold Beer', just like what I'm about to pour for you, bro."
"That's amazing, how did your parents know you'd be a bartender?"
'It's really more of a nickname than anything else."
